Why do you need to stop working with hourly contractors? by Samer Bechara | Oct 10, 2013 https://thoughtengineer.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/hourly-jobs.wav https://thoughtengineer.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/hourly-jobs.wav In this podcast I discuss why you should outsource your projects on a fixed price basis rather than an hourly basis 4 Comments Rod Lee on October 14, 2013 at 4:24 am Most fixed jobs require you a downpayment or sorts to start the project.. it may backfire on you, since any few ‘fixes’ will require additional negotiation and haggling. Reply Samer Bechara on October 15, 2013 at 11:26 am Rod, The first step of a project would be to agree on a specifications document, signed by both parties. A good contractor will suggest you do that. This will save both of you a lot of headaches, and you would know what to expect. As for additional features, they could be part of a next version or a support contract. Should be able to just drop that in, supply it with an ‘svg’ variable containing your SVG markup, and be done with it. If you want it file based, just change the Input/OutputStreams as needed.
