Govhire, Inc. is a company which provides hiring services to the US government and major corporations, through their extensive database and advanced business intelligence software, in order to match companies with the perfect candidates. However, their software was pretty outdated, and it was starting to fall behind similar software. I was contacted by Chris Young, the owner, because he needed to get that software into the 21st century. He had a great vision, and wanted someone reliable to bring it to life.
I organized the whole project by merging the multiple backends into one, and unifying multiple instances of the databases and servers. I developed an API-based backend in order to be easily able to extend the system in the future, and integrated with multiple social networks and government-related websites.
The project became easier to manage, which allowed Govhire employees to focus on generating client results, rather than dealing with the complexities of their software. Software maintenance and introduction of new features became considerably faster, and bug reporting/new feature requests were responded to in an immediate manner, due to the project management practices put in place.
